>> How much is the State Filing Fee?

Each state’s filing fee is different, as well as the optional expedited service fee. we will give you a detailed quotation after you have decided in which state(s) you want to form your business.

 

>>What is a Registered Agent?

Each corporation is required to have and maintain a registered agent and a registered office (in the state you are filing) to provide a public record of the name and address of a person upon whom all process on the corporation may be served. In addition, the Department of Business Services sends all official correspondence to the registered agent at the registered office on record.

 

Failure to maintain a registered agent and a registered office will ultimately result in the involuntary dissolution of the company.

>>Will I need to sign anything?

We will send you the completed filing documents for review and signature before submission.

>> Is it necessary to reserve my company name before placing an order?

You can choose to, but it’s not a must. We usually file the company within two business days of receiving your order and payment so it is not necessary to reserve your company name.

 

>> Will my business need a Federal EIN Tax ID?

Yes, your U.S. business will need to get a federal employer identification number (FEIN or EIN) from the IRS to file your business’s yearly federal tax returns. If you do not have a social security number, the Federal EIN Tax ID application normally takes more than 4 weeks to be processed.

 

>> If I choose to expand my business outside of only one state, what will I have to do?

By working with us, we will help you file for what is known as a foreign qualification. The company foreign to the new state will submit documents and fees to register in the new state and be allowed to expand its business. Be sure to contact us if you are interested, as not all forms of business require foreign qualification.

 

>> What is a "resident agent" and "statutory agent" and how is that different from a "registered agent?"

Most states use the term registered agent, but some states use the term resident agent, statutory agent, or agent for service of process. The function of all three is the same as a registered agent.

 

>> How to maintain my U.S. business?

Your company will have an annual report due each year with the state (though some states require reports every other year or every several years), and different states charge different fees. You’ll also have to maintain a registered agent to receive service of process (legal notices) on your company’s behalf. When you hire us, you can renew our registered agent service with an annual fee and we will take care of the rest.

  

>> Do I need a Principle office if I have a Registered Agent?

Most registered agents will require that you hold a Principle office as well, however we offer a physical address service for you to undercut location prices.

 

>> What is a Virtual office?

>> Are there different classifications of companies?

Yes, there are different kinds of businesses in the U.S. such as a Limited Liability Company (LLC) or a Corporation (Corp, Inc, etc.). Each is taxed differently, but also appreciates different benefits that the others do not. Based on the size and purpose of the company, different classifications make more sense than others. >> After I file for an EIN number, will my information be made public?

No, the EIN application is between the applicant and the IRS. All information is to be kept private, protecting the client.
